List of product design contests that will boost your creativity

We present a list with competitions focused on the field of industrial design, product and engineering:

• Red Dot Design Award. It is one of the most important design distinctions in the world conferred on products that achieve excellence in design.
• Electrolux Design Lab. Contest on innovative ideas for the appliances of the future, focused on students and graduates in industrial design.
• BraunPrize. Organized by the Braun brand, it is a contest that promotes innovative ideas and the great importance of industrial design.
• James Dyson Award. It is about designing something that solves a problem always taking into account the feasibility of the product, practicality, originality and sustainability.

Open calls

• Coca – Cola: design your metal bottle. Elite and Coca Cola launch the briefing to design a metal bottle for cyclists. Postulation of the proposals until July 3, 2017. More information and bases of the contest following this link.
• One Day Roca Design Challenge. Roca proposes the challenge of designing, during a day, solutions for bathroom spaces after a briefing that is read at the beginning of the day. The competition is open to students or to have been students for more than 4 years of product design, industrial design and engineering.
• Larus Award. Competition on urban furniture design. Proposals can be submitted until December 1, 2017. More information and contest rules are available following this link.
• Andreu World. Design a seat and / or table in solid wood or other materials such as plastic, glass, metals, etc. More information, registration and contest bases following this link.

Past Convocations

• Cosentino  Design Challenge. Opened for two categories: architecture and design, the proposals offered must include some Cosentino product.
• USM Haller. Competition for modular interior furniture by USM Modular Furniture in collaboration with Archello.
• Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. It is about presenting pieces of furniture, lighting or coatings. Here you can see the winners of this year 2017.
